gerbera plant propagation



Gerbera plant propagation can be done in the generative and vegetative. Gerbera generative plant propagation using seeds. Way of propagation is very difficult and long. Through vegetative propagation is often used is by tissue culture and the separation of tillers. Gerbera seedlings have several criteria which must be as large seeds, free of pests and diseases and available in sufficient quantities. There are several ways of vegetative propagation include:

Based on the above criteria, if commercially Gerbera cultivation requires the necessary seeds should be derived from the results of tissue culture seedlings. Tissue culture material using lateral buds from the stems of Gerbera plants are healthy and of superior types. 


Vegetative propagation by separation of tillers Gerbera plant propagation through tissue culture but can be done with seedlings or pieces of rhizome separation. Seedling obtained from a Gerbera plant clumps anakannya lot, its parent prolific flowering, the growth of normal, healthy and comes from a superior kind.
